Tsubasa Hori was born in Kyoto and currently lives in Antwerp, Belgium.
She started playing taiko at the age of eleven and later graduated from the Kyoto City Horikawa Music High School (Percussion Class).

Her solo performance is based on improvisation and includes the use of other instruments, including Koto (Japanese Harp), Voice, Piano, Kyujo-orin (modern Japanese bells), and Music Box.
